THE OPPORTUNITY
The Research Operator 2 is pivotal in the blending, processing, filling, and sterilization of both liquid and powdered nutritional products for infants and adults. Core responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to: material handling, cleaning processes, operation of equipment such as scales and filling machines, and adherence to quality and allergen control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold departmental standards for teamwork and customer service.
- Exhibit proficiency in job-specific skills and consistently apply learning.
- Adhere to cGMP compliance and quality initiatives.
- Complete manufacturing tasks accurately and promptly.
- Actively engage in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) performance and compliance.
- Follow established policies and procedures across all responsibilities.
- Execute manufacturing steps according to approved work orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Obtain Better Process Control certification.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and prepare product blends and solutions.
- Operate and maintain equipment related to heating, filling, and cleaning processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of four years of experience in plant production, preferably within drug, food, or beverage manufacturing.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and requirements pertaining to infant formula and adult nutrition, as well as relevant food processing techniques.
- Ability to interpret work orders, troubleshoot equipment issues, and operate industrial vehicles. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are essential.
