Job description:

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our Bad Axe store as a Part-Time Retail Associate. This position offers a competitive wage of $13.00 per hour, along with the potential for monthly bonuses, and a 20% discount on in-store purchases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in maximizing store sales and enhancing Goodwill’s profitability.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers and donors.

• Achieve performance expectations for assigned tasks, including:

  • Cashier: Accurately operate the cash register, conduct sales transactions according to established policies and procedures, maintain register variance within acceptable limits, and efficiently process sales.
  • Processor: Receive, process, price, and display merchandise in accordance with guidelines, achieving a production standard of 85-100 items per hour while adhering to safety protocols, including the use of agency-issued work gloves.
  • Rack Runner: Efficiently organize and place merchandise on racks to ensure proper categorization and color coordination.
  • Retail Donation Attendant: Greet donors, assist with donations in a safe and professional manner, maintain accurate records, organize the donation area, and assist with loading and unloading trucks while following safety guidelines.
  • Retail Custodian: Ensure cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, and break room; manage waste disposal; and adhere to safety guidelines when handling cleaning products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive demeanor.

Qualifications:

• Flexibility to work assigned shifts as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds, with or without assistance.
