We are seeking to fill both full-time and part-time Retail Clerk positions immediately. The positions are located at DTE Headquarters, One Energy Plaza, Detroit, MI 48226, and we only accept online applications.

Job Summary:
The Retail Clerk will be responsible for obtaining or receiving merchandise, processing transactions, and providing customer service in a retail environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
  • Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise strategically to enhance sales.
  • Price merchandise by stamping, marking, or tagging items.
  • Assist customers in selecting merchandise and fulfilling their requests.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding merchandise location, pricing, and usability.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner and resolve any complaints effectively.
  • Package and bag merchandise for customers.
  • Calculate and total merchandise prices, including applicable taxes, to determine final bill amounts.
  • Process payments and provide accurate change.
  • Conduct cash register reconciliation at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain records of sales and manage inventory and ordering processes.
  • Adhere to sanitation, ServSafe, and safety standards.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment while performing all duties safely.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
