Impact Recruiting Solutions is actively seeking a qualified RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join a dynamic Quality Improvement Consulting Company. This role offers a technically engaging environment, supporting both internal and external customers nationwide.

The RN Health Care Facility Surveyor position is fully remote, requiring up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will take on roles as either a team member or team leader for various surveys, including re-certification, comparative assessments, complaint investigations, and revisit evaluations for long-term care and non-long-term care facilities. These may encompass settings such as ambulatory surgical centers (ASC), Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID), end-stage renal disease (ESRD) centers, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF), hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospice facilities. The Surveyor will conduct national travel to healthcare facilities, assessing compliance with regulations that govern the quality of care for residents and clients.

Key Responsibilities include:
– Conducting on-site surveys for Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to ascertain compliance with Federal regulations.
– Undertaking essential preparatory work, including off-site research, facility tours, observation of care practices, record reviews, and interviews with staff and families, to evaluate if care, treatment, and services meet Federal requirements.
– Assessing various dimensions of the healthcare facility, from care quality to consumer rights and physical infrastructure.
– Effectively communicating compliance issues with key personnel during site reviews and exit conferences to ensure clarity of identified deficiencies.
– Evaluating the acceptability of proposed plans of correction.
– Performing follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to confirm the implementation of corrective actions.
– Assisting in training for facilities and bureaus and participating in relevant work groups as necessary.

Requirements for the position include:
– An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
– Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
– A minimum of two years of recent experience as a surveyor in accrediting or certifying facilities serving long-term care residents.
– Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
– Proven independent decision-making abilities to lead and manage the survey process effectively.
– Skills in prioritizing tasks both autonomously and collaboratively during surveys.
– Capability to engage in open discussions regarding conflicts and seek guidance for resolutions as needed.
– Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time regularly.
