Job description:

As a Guest Services Shift Leader, you will play a vital role in our salon’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Salon Director. You will be responsible for leading our Guest Services team and ensuring the seamless operation of Guest Services and Salon operations, all while upholding our commitment to providing exceptional guest care.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Leadership:

  • Assist in training the Guest Services team in close collaboration with the Salon Director.
  • Oversee front desk operations, retail, and guest care.
  • Prepare and organize the Guest Services schedule to maximize efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison for technicians during the Salon Director’s absence.
  • Set high standards for the guest service team through exemplary leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Salon Director to manage retail and supply orders, as well as timecard adjustments.

Guest Reservations:

  • Deliver outstanding guest care from the moment guests arrive.
  • Facilitate an excellent guest experience through warm greetings, efficient check-ins, and seamless check-outs.
  • Play a critical role in salon opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage cash handling, bank deposits, and customer returns.

Product & Service Knowledge:

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the retail area.
  • Stay informed about our product lines and assist guests in selecting suitable products.
  • Participate in product knowledge training to provide expert recommendations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong leadership abilities, demonstrating the capacity to lead by example.
  • Experience in coaching and supporting the Guest Services team in the absence of the Salon Director.
  • Previous experience in retail and/or customer service is essential.
  • Supervisory experience is a notable advantage.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • A polished and professional appearance, aligned with Douglas J and the salon industry.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is a plus.
