In this Engineering role, you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and corporate objectives within Gas Power.

What impact you’ll make:

You will be responsible for overseeing the profitability and customer satisfaction associated with assigned contracts and obligations. This includes managing service agreements, fixed-price contracts, and time and material program management while collaborating effectively with customer service, parts and transactional teams, field services, and repair services. Your role is to support GE Vernova’s SQDC and Lean principles to maximize impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a liaison between internal and external organizations for assigned customers, owning the customer relationship and contributing to the overall NAM Power business strategy.
  • Foster and develop robust relationships with customers, serving as their primary point of contact to manage communication and strengthen regional ties.
  • Manage the profitability and growth opportunities within the customer portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing technical and business support related to Gas Turbines to assigned customers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive customer communication plan, coordinating regular reviews to introduce existing and new products/services that enhance customer value.
  • Oversee warranty matters and relevant commercial considerations, ensuring maximum benefit for both the customer and GE Vernova.
  • Coordinate outage scope development and communicate this information to the Outage support team as assigned by our FieldCore team.
  • Manage the Outage 360 process, including the processing of change orders and communication of outage scope to the Outage support team.
  • Lead resolutions for emergent and forced outages, organizing pre-outage, post-outage, and milestone meetings.
  • Coordinate on-site repairs and component repairs performed in GRS, including planning repair scopes, requesting quotes, scheduling repairs, and resolving repair issues within the GE Vernova network.
  • Take ownership of contract leadership and fulfillment, ensuring all project deliverables meet contract terms and requirements, including invoicing and credit memo responsibilities.
  • Promote flow-type services such as parts and lease engines, engaging in opportunity identification, quote preparation, order entry, demand placement, and sales conversion.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the power generation industry, or an associate degree coupled with 6-7 years of experience in the same field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Power Industry or in technical field services or contract management, with a strong focus on Gas Turbines.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work and reside in the U.S.; no sponsorship or immigration support is offered.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time within the primary geographic area of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana, New York, Maryland, Delaware, and Kentucky.
  • This position may be performed remotely or hybrid, depending on the assigned Power Plant site.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or STEM).

  • Strong quality management background, ideally with Black Belt certification.
