Job description:

Starting wage: $13.50 per hour; part-time positions available from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with a rotating schedule every other weekend and holiday.

Summary:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting and bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting the cook as needed, and performing cleaning duties.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to relate positively to residents and their families, and work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
  • Compliance with all state health requirements.
  • Obtain a Food Handlers Permit as mandated by state regulations.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, wash, and store dishes in accordance with facility procedures; maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area; assist in serving meals if necessary; support cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment.
  • Set up serving carts for each meal as required and aid in serving meals at residents’ tables following facility protocols; bus tables and prepare used dishes for washing; clean dining room tables and chairs; sweep and maintain the dining area; set tables for the upcoming meal, emphasizing exceptional customer service in food service.
  • Collaborate with the Food Services team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen, adhering to established safety and sanitation practices.
  • Perform similar or related duties as required or directed.
