We are seeking dedicated servers for our dining room who will warmly greet and serve our community members at Madison Heights’ newest senior independent living residence. Our modern building is designed for the next generation of seniors. The Server will be responsible for setting tables, taking orders, busing tables, washing dishes, assisting the cook as needed, and completing cleaning duties.

Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages to patrons in a friendly and positive manner.
- Provide information to assist patrons with their food and beverage selections.
- Present ordered items promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain an inviting dining ambiance through an upbeat attitude.
- Prepare the dining area according to the chef’s directives.
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure a safe environment for both patrons and staff.
- Guide patrons in their choices by recommending courses and explaining the chef’s specialties.
- Accurately record orders and communicate special requests to the bar and kitchen staff.
- Keep kitchen staff updated on the timing of meal progress.
- Deliver orders to patrons from the bar and kitchen, ensuring that accompaniments and condiments are provided as needed.
- Anticipate and respond to additional patron needs by observing the dining process.
- Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing spills or special needs.
- Perform cleaning duties including dishwashing, maintaining floors, walls, and equipment, and managing storage and prep areas.
- Deliver trays to community members’ apartments as necessary.
- Attend training sessions as required.
- Uphold all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers permit in accordance with State regulations.
- Must verify eligibility to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- A current TB test and physical may be required for this position.
Requirements:
- Availability to work at least every other weekend.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and support up to 100 pounds.
- Regularly kneel, crouch, and bend.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
