Job description:
Fox Motors is seeking a Service Advisor for our location in Comstock Park, MI at Fox GMC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our mission of "Working together moving people throughout life" by fostering trust and developing lasting relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Service Advisor, you will serve as a reliable automotive expert actively engaging in the service lane. Your responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling service appointments to optimize workflow.
- Greeting customers promptly and courteously while collecting relevant vehicle information.
- Collecting customer and vehicle data in advance of service when possible.
- Accurately documenting customer concerns on repair orders.
- Reviewing service history, inspecting vehicles, and recommending necessary services.
- Providing complete and transparent written cost estimates for labor and parts.
- Monitoring repair progress throughout the day, communicating any changes in estimates or delivery times, explaining costs and requirements in detail, and obtaining necessary authorizations for additional work.
- Ensuring all repair orders are completed thoroughly and closing them appropriately.
- Clearly explaining completed repairs and associated charges to customers.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A strong interest in utilizing technology to enhance customer experiences.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing responsibilities and time management.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
