AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $16 for a “Shift Lead Barista” at Starbucks in Kalamazoo, MI, is generally competitive but slightly below the national average for similar roles, which often ranges from $17 to $20 per hour depending on experience and location. In the Kalamazoo area, typical pay for baristas can also vary based on the cost of living, with many positions paying between $14 to $18 per hour. Additionally, benefits such as tips, flexible scheduling, and employee perks can enhance the overall compensation package.
