Job Summary:
The Shuttle/Chauffeur Driver plays a crucial role in transporting top executives, personnel, and visitors to designated locations as part of promotional activities. This position involves driving various vehicles, including shuttle buses, mini-buses, vans, cars, or lightweight trucks, to ensure safe and efficient transportation of clients, trainees, company personnel, or products. The Shuttle/Chauffeur Driver frequently interacts with guests during promotional events and award distributions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests and Team Members with warmth and professionalism.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor and serve as a role model for fellow Team Members.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Drive assigned vehicles to and from designated locations, including hotels, administration buildings, and other function areas.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles and manage their baggage as required.
- Provide transportation to pre-selected destinations as specified in promotional materials.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures to ensure passenger safety at all times.
- Maintain awareness of traffic law changes and CDL requirements, particularly when transporting 16 or more passengers.
- Ensure compliance with all motor vehicle laws and Odawa Casino Resort’s service standards while operating vehicles.
- Use radios or similar devices to communicate effectively with Casino and other personnel.
- Limit cell phone use to when the vehicle is parked.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation, ensuring it is in good operating condition.
- Clean and service vehicles, including refueling and handling lubricants and accessories.
- Conduct routine safety checks of the vehicle before each shift, ensuring cleanliness inside and out.
- Perform minor repairs as needed.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle condition, trips, fuel use, and passenger details.
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies.
- Support the team by covering other transportation roles during call-ins or no-shows as needed.
- Attend all required meetings and complete all necessary training satisfactorily.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality in all dealings.
- Provide assistance at other properties as required.
- Carry out additional duties assigned within the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum age of 21 years.
- Possession of a valid Michigan Chauffeurs License or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement (P).
- An acceptable driving record with insurability through our insurance provider.
- Knowledge of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) regulations.
- A current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one and maintain its validity.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Basic math skills.
- Familiarity with local areas and road navigation.
- Capability to perform minor repairs, including tasks such as replacing windshield wipers and topping off oil and fluid levels.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external guests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying shifts, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Willingness to undergo a skills assessment test to verify qualification for the position.
- Exposure to high noise levels and a smoke-filled environment is expected.
- Must be eligible for a gaming license as per regulations set by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and comply with any other applicable laws.
