We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated External Communications/Affairs Specialist to join our team at VS&Co. In this vital role, you will contribute to VS&Co’s external affairs initiatives by overseeing communications, media relations, and community engagement efforts. Responsibilities include conducting research, creating content, monitoring media coverage, and providing support during crisis situations. Your Impact:
Communications & Media Relations
- Draft and edit various forms of correspondence, including press releases, corporate news stories, LinkedIn posts, and responses to media inquiries and escalated customer service issues.
- Manage the media relations inbox, prioritizing incoming requests and responding as required.
- Monitor media coverage and social media discussions, preparing summaries of pertinent news articles and trends.
- Generate media coverage recaps following earnings reports and company announcements, distributing them to relevant partners across the enterprise.
- Support proactive media outreach related to strategic business initiatives, including philanthropic and community programs.
- Provide external affairs support during enterprise crises.
Research & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with the external affairs team to develop and implement effective strategies.
- Conduct research and compile data to support external affairs efforts.
- Track and report on key metrics related to external affairs activities.
- Remain informed about industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with the team regularly.
Impact Initiatives
- Support ESG rankings and report responses, driving relevant impact storytelling across owned channels.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events and sponsorships.
Compensation:
Minimum Salary: $66,200.00
Maximum Salary: $86,835.00

Your Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, political science, government affairs, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Demonstrates agility and sound judgment in challenging situations.
