The Food & Beverage team plays a vital role in delivering a consistent and exceptional experience for our guests by ensuring that products are fresh, well-stocked, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. As experts in operations, processes, and efficiency, this team oversees all facets of food and food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all Food and Beverage areas within the store.

• Delivering a consistent Starbucks experience by managing the quality and freshness of food products.
• Adhering to state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.

While no two days are the same, a typical day in this role includes the following responsibilities:

• Providing an outstanding guest experience through a fresh and abundant shopping environment, prioritizing guests’ needs over tasks.
• Upholding and executing Food & Beverage Standards consistently.
• Managing food and beverage processes, including receiving deliveries, replenishment, inventory accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve products.
• Staying informed about current and upcoming promotions at Starbucks.
• Following Target and Starbucks procedures to ensure a consistent guest experience while efficiently completing tasks and maintaining food safety standards.
• Supporting the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of digital guest orders.
• Maintaining a welcoming dining area throughout your shift.
• Engaging with guests to exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Crafting beverages and food items according to recipe specifications.
• Monitoring and recording temperatures for sensitive food items, in compliance with best practices.
• Completing and documenting cleaning tasks within the Starbucks space as guided by best practices.
• Identifying and processing damaged, recalled, or expired items according to established guidelines.
• Ensuring accurate inventory levels by placing store-initiated orders correctly.
• Implementing proper perishable inventory procedures to accurately track inventory.
• Adhering to sampling best practices.
• Being knowledgeable about tools, products, and services across the store to enhance the guest experience.
• Completing required training and certifications related to Starbucks product quality control.
• Fostering a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance while always working in a safe manner and reporting hazards as encountered.
• Supporting guest services, such as backup cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU), while maintaining a culture of compliance.
• Creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests throughout your daily tasks.
• Assisting guests as needed and addressing their specific inquiries.
• Thanking guests and expressing appreciation for their choice to shop with Target.
• Performing additional duties as required based on business needs.
