Join our team as an Assistant General Manager!
As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction and the seamless operation of our hotel. In the absence of the General Manager, you will supervise various departments and concentrate on enhancing hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and associate development. This position is classified as an overtime-eligible manager (OEM); thus, overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.
Key Skills/Responsibilities:

Leadership Skills: Supervise operating departments and assist in driving hotel profitability through effective management and support of the General Manager.

Problem-Solving Ability: Proactively anticipate and address workplace challenges to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Hiring & Training: Collaborate with the General Manager in overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and training of Guest Services staff, ensuring comprehensive training across all departments in service standards. This role will foster the development of both managerial and hourly employees through corporate-approved programs, promoting empowerment and growth.

Communication Skills: Actively listen to, understand, and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests, maintaining clear and effective communication.

Financial Acumen: Analyze and interpret financial information and data, performing basic arithmetic functions to support hotel operations.

Education & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the Rooms or Food & Beverage department within a hotel, or a 4-year college degree with 2 to 3 years of related experience, or a 2-year college degree with 3 to 4 years of related experience.

Prior supervisory experience is essential.

Must effectively manage stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
- Compliance with certification requirements may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
