The Position:

In this position, you will find:

As a swim instructor, you will receive comprehensive training to teach our aquatics program to both children and adults, beginning at just 3 months old. You will interact regularly with swimmers, their families, and adhere to a schedule crafted by management.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Report directly to and support the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s).
• Instruct swimming lessons following British Swim School standards while maintaining necessary certifications.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3 PM – 8 PM), Sundays (10:30 AM – 4:00 PM), and holidays as required by operational needs.
• Function in an environment with moderate to high noise levels and spend the entirety of your shift in the water.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or currently in pursuit of completion.
• A positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Comfort in and around water; strong swimming skills are advantageous but can be developed through training.
• Required to maintain certifications throughout the employment duration.
• Completion of all necessary British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children.
• 1-2 years of swimming experience preferred but not mandatory.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, or AED certifications preferred (these can be obtained during training).
