Job description:
As a Systems Architect, you will be responsible for defining and articulating a unified architectural vision for Quote-to-Cash capabilities within SAP S4 SD. This role emphasizes business sales operations, quote-to-cash processes, and customer service functions, which are highly integrated through multiple applications to meet current and future business needs. You will work collaboratively with Agile teams to explore solutions, validate technological assumptions, assess alternatives, and converge on effective strategies. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, modeling, configuring, and implementing customized solutions tailored to specific business requirements, particularly focusing on SAP Sales and Distribution. Close collaboration with Enterprise and Solution Architects will be essential to ensure alignment within broader architectural frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate complex system challenges and decision-making processes to senior leadership at divisional or regional levels, using clear business language.
- Exhibit expert-level knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution (SD), including core functionalities, integrations, and end-to-end business processes.
- Lead the design and standardization of global target processes within SAP SD to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide business objectives.
- Direct and engage in the planning, definition, development, and high-level design of intricate product solutions and architectural alternatives.
- Facilitate a continuous delivery pipeline through adherence to appropriate design guidelines.
- Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment strategies.
- Establish and communicate essential non-functional requirements.
- Consider the economic implications of design decisions and act accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Over 10 years of experience in SAP PP/MM Systems Architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of core SD processes such as aATP, pricing, logistics execution, and billing, with a focus on S/4HANA.
- Comprehensive understanding of integration methods (IDOC, ODATA, BAPI, SOAP, batch, ETL, API, event-driven architecture) and core SAP modules, including analytics.
- Proficiency in S/4 technical development (custom fields and logic, CDS views, embedded analytics, ODATA, side-by-side extensions).
- Strong familiarity with SAP products, including Fiori and BTP, as well as the functionalities of SAP ECC and S/4 HANA 2023 and beyond.
- Proven experience in architecting complex hybrid landscapes featuring multiple boundary systems, integration patterns, and tools.
- Extensive background in applying best practices in software engineering.
- Significant experience in developing enterprise-grade, highly scalable, and high-performance applications or distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of multiple cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, SAP RISE, and GCP; certification is a plus.
The expected annual salary range for this position is $141,000.03 – $206,800.04. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
