Job description:
The Technical Production Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating the execution of live events and productions by collaborating with production, broadcast, and IT teams to manage essential planning elements for our live shows. This position leverages technical and administrative expertise to enhance every stage of productions, from pre-planning to post-execution. The primary responsibilities include overseeing technical aspects of large-scale events, designing technical stage productions, and coordinating with production vendors alongside the management team to ensure seamless execution of esports events globally.

Responsibilities:
– Collaborate cross-functionally with production and broadcast teams throughout the planning of on-site broadcasts and live events.
– Partner with the production management and events teams to develop technical drawings and floorplans for live event execution.
– Assist the events and production team in meeting key deliverables and milestones to keep productions on schedule.
– Supervise the installation of technical equipment for Front of House (FOH), stage, and Back of House (BOH) as assigned, and coordinate load-out teams within the assigned scope.
– Conduct quality control and testing of designated event equipment, including lighting and video gear, while supporting the creation of equipment manifests and overseeing transportation logistics.
– Oversee studio and event lighting designs, budgeting, and project management for lighting teams.
– Consult with production managers and administrators to navigate technical challenges and achieve project objectives.
– Aid in sourcing third-party vendors and production partners to ensure successful, budget-compliant productions; participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) processes adhering to company procurement standards.
– Contribute to the production budgeting process with project managers for technical requirements.
– Manage technical departments during onsite live events.
– Be prepared to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Role Requirements:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting the planning, design, and execution of large-scale live broadcasts (preferred experience in esports, broadcast, or sporting events).
– At least 1 year of experience in creating, reading, and constructing event floorplans and layouts.
– Familiarity with operations in television trucks and flight packs.
– Proficient in diagram creation software such as Vectorworks and ConnectCad.
– In-depth knowledge of television broadcast and web streaming processes.
– Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, demonstrating a results-oriented, collaborative approach.
– Ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic environment.
– Core understanding of live event and studio production processes.
– Competence in leading and directing mid- and junior-level team members.
– Excellent communication skills in high-pressure situations.
