Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics seeks qualified candidates for the position of Television Production Engineer. This is a full-time, salaried role, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful applicant will collaborate with the Senior Broadcast Engineer to oversee the care, maintenance, and operation of UC’s primary production control rooms located in Nippert Stadium and Mary Emery Hall. Responsibilities include maintaining all video and audio equipment, along with the video infrastructure that connects various athletic venues. This role will support broadcast staff during live events for linear network partners, ESPN+ digital productions, videoboard presentations, and other arena functions, adhering to all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.

Essential Functions
– Install and maintain broadcast equipment and IT systems related to productions for ESPN+, videoboard operations, and additional departmental requirements, with a strong focus on signal flow.
– Provide expert consultation regarding current systems and their functionalities, alongside industry trends to enhance infrastructure and processes.
– Oversee and troubleshoot local infrastructure, workstations, local area network equipment, and broadcast and streaming devices.
– Install hardware and fabricate cables for systems, while meticulously documenting, maintaining, upgrading, and improving existing setups.
– Serve as a liaison with broadcast partners regarding setup and technical requirements within UC’s athletic facilities.
– Schedule and coordinate all technical personnel necessary for production activities.
– Collaborate closely with the Media Production Division at CCM.
– Undertake related duties as necessary based on departmental needs; this job description is subject to change at any time.
– Engage with students in an educational context, providing guidance and support in various broadcast engineering projects and activities.

Required Education
– Bachelor’s Degree, or
– Seven (7) years of pertinent education, experience, and/or specialized training may satisfy minimum education and experience requirements.

Required Experience
– Three (3) years of experience in a live studio or production environment.

Additional Qualifications Considered
– Proficiency with Ross Video Systems and associated equipment (Ultrix Router, Carbonite and Touch Drive Switchers, Xpression Graphics, Mira Replay, and Video Server).
– Familiarity with Daktronics video board systems.
– Experience with the Evertz DreamCatcher replay system, Calrec audio mixers, Clear-Com Intercom systems, and DANTE audio technology.
– Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
