Responsibilities:
The Teller Supervisor will oversee teller staff and manage all branch operations related to the processing of customer transactions and the provision of routine banking services. This position demands exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively motivate team members and delegate tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a teller drawer to assist customers in the lobby or drive-up service.
  • Identifying potential cross-sell opportunities and directing customers to relevant bank personnel.
  • Proactively addressing operational issues and making necessary policy exceptions or approvals.
  • Recognizing and reporting potential fraud to management, ensuring compliance with all departmental, banking, and regulatory policies to safeguard customers and employees.
  • Conducting routine monthly audits and maintaining daily/monthly sales tracking.

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Participating in the hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of teller staff, including performance evaluations.
  • Sustaining the established Wintrust culture by delivering best-in-class customer service and engaging in community events.

Qualifications:

  • Prior teller experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience is preferred, ideally within a financial institution.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Ability to travel between branches as required.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
