Job description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing day-to-day reliability operations and testing within the Reliability Lab, ensuring products meet performance and warranty commitments under extreme outdoor exposure conditions. You will assist Reliability Engineers with various assignments, including second-source supplier qualifications, product reliability monitoring, product/process qualification programs, and test/equipment development. Additionally, you will share your expertise by training new associates, particularly in plant expansions and satellite locations, while collaborating with fellow technicians in Perrysburg.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) OR
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment OR
- High School Diploma combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing lab or quality environment.
- Calibration, testing, and measurement experience is a plus.
Required Skills/Competencies:

- Forklift operation certification required.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct baseline and post-test measurements for all standard reliability tests.
- Safely operate and load all standard Reliability Stress Test equipment.
- Process warranty returns promptly.
- Perform data entry related to reliability testing.
- Ensure all tests and measurements adhere to the established schedule.
- Communicate any abnormal findings regarding products or testing equipment immediately.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to support testing and measurement activities.
- Function autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain high standards of good housekeeping.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Provide guidance to team members in the absence of supervisors.
- Recognize and address instances of incorrect testing, proposing root causes or action plans.
- Identify durability and stability defects to initiate failure analysis and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in designated containers.
- Confirm that hazardous waste containers remain closed except when adding or removing waste.
- Maintain satellite accumulation containers in their assigned locations.

- Understand, implement, and test IEC 61215 Standard Testing procedures.
- Identify and retrieve weekly PRM or ETA modules for scheduled reliability testing.
- Conduct calibration and ensure simulators are functioning optimally for testing.
- Train new technicians on module testing, measurements, and handling procedures.
- Continue to demonstrate effective methods that yield quality test results consistently.
Reporting Relationships:
- This position reports to the Supervisor, Lab Operations.
- This role does not include direct reports.

US Physical Requirements:
- The role requires prolonged sitting, standing, or walking throughout the shift.
