Travel General Laborer – Night Shift | $18 per hour
SPAR is expanding our overnight construction team! We are seeking dedicated and reliable full-time laborers who are willing to travel for extended periods and work night shifts from 9 PM to 6 AM. Candidates should possess a willingness to learn and have familiarity with basic tools. Our traveling teams will work within home improvement retail chains, focusing on the construction and management of heavy steel racking and pallet racking systems. What You’ll Do:
- Engage in physically demanding construction work
- Remediate and remodel major retail stores overnight
- Remove and replace damaged steel racking, including cantilever towers
- Transition products from old to new pallet racking systems
- Construct and assemble retail store shelving fixtures
- Update signage, shelf conditions, and complete schematics
- Undertake considerable physical activity, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and work overnight from 9 PM to 6 AM
- Capability to follow directions regarding tagging, rotating, and shelf product placement
- Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders up to 20 feet
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools (personal hardhat, gloves, utility knife, and power tools required)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic tools necessary for job duties
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Personal cell phone and valid email address required
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Appropriate work footwear mandated on the job site
