A Look Into Working in Valet
We are seeking a Valet Attendant who is not only passionate about hospitality but also enjoys driving and engaging with guests. In this role, you will serve as the first and last warm welcoming presence for our guests. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, assisting with their luggage, valet parking vehicles, and providing transportation to and from the airport as well as local attractions using our hotel shuttle. You will also share valuable insights regarding the hotel and surrounding hotspots to enrich our guests’ experiences. This position is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in an active environment and take pride in delivering exceptional service while creating memorable experiences. What You’ll Be Doing:
– Operate the company shuttle as needed while ensuring vehicle cleanliness
– Maintain a general understanding of hotel amenities, local attractions, and events
– Valet park guest vehicles adhering to safety standards, laws, and regulations
– Escort guests to their vehicles, rooms, or hotel outlets
– Deliver packages and amenities to guest rooms
– Assist guests with luggage and manage bell cart operations
– Maintain an organized luggage storage system
– Manage shuttle logs, planning departures and arrivals accordingly
– Greet guests and assist with door openings as they enter and exit the hotel
– Supervise the coat room during events
– Provide directions to the Front Desk for guest check-in
– Share knowledge about hotel amenities and outlets to facilitate cross-selling
– Uphold a high standard of vehicle cleanliness
– Exhibit strong analytical and navigation skills
– Efficiently coordinate multiple pick-ups and drop-offs under changing circumstances
– Ensure appropriate security measures when handling guest luggage
– Drive the shuttle to and from the airport while maintaining knowledge of local attractions
– Foster effective communication throughout all shifts
What You Need for this Position:
– Clean DMV driving record is required for consideration
– Adequate manual dexterity to load and unload luggage
– Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more
– Capability to stoop, bend, and lift items up to 75 pounds
– Comfort with repetitive motion tasks
