Morrison Living is seeking to hire full-time Waitstaff (Waiter/Waitress) immediately.

  • Location: Beaumont Commons – 16351 Rotunda, Dearborn, MI 48120.
  • Schedule: Full-time availability required from Saturday to Sunday, with varying hours. Further details will be provided during the interview.
  • Requirement: Previous server experience is preferred.
  • Compensation: $15.99 per hour.

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to take food and beverage orders and deliver them efficiently to guests in the dining room.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and take food and beverage orders in an efficient and courteous manner while adhering to established service protocols.
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally, ensuring compliance with safe food handling and sanitation standards while following up to assist guests with any further needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients; assist guests with food and drink pairings, accommodate reasonable requests, and demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens when applicable.
  • Liaise directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and the fulfillment of special requests.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and foster a cooperative environment with both guests and colleagues, demonstrating flexibility and patience.
  • Adhere to proper cash-handling procedures by collecting tickets.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and organized environment for guests.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding any personal or medical information entrusted to you.
  • Proactively address guest complaints or issues and relay pertinent information to supervisors as necessary.
  • Ensure the dining area is appropriately arranged both before and after service while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Operate various types of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments to fulfill job responsibilities during special events and functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
