Morrison Living is urgently seeking a part-time Waiter/Waitress to join our team.

• Location: Masonic Pathways, 1200 Wright Avenue, Alma, MI 48801
• Schedule: The part-time schedule may vary; shifts will typically be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
• Requirements: Previous customer service experience is preferred.

• Compensation: $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Waiter/Waitress is to take food and beverage orders and deliver them efficiently to guests in the dining room.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, adhering to established service protocols.
• Professionally deliver food items promptly while ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. Regularly check in with guests to fulfill additional needs or requests.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on food and drink pairings when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and address specialized dietary needs and allergens as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and foster good relationships with guests and staff. Remain flexible and patient in all interactions.
• Collect payment tickets and adhere to established cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized environment for guests.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality regarding any personal or medical information shared by guests.
• Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and relay relevant information to the supervisor as needed.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after the service period, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments to fulfill job responsibilities during special events and functions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
