MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE – JOB DESCRIPTION

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: General Manager

Special Requirements:

• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within specified time frames and demonstrate the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in case of a medical emergency.
• Must acquire Tanning Certification within the required time frame.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Member Services Representative is responsible for fostering a positive member experience by delivering exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
• Oversee front desk activities, which include:
  • Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
  • Checking members into the system.
  • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
  • Conducting tours for prospective members.
  • Processing necessary updates to member accounts.
  • Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
  • Performing cleaning duties as required to maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and co-workers, surpassing member expectations.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within specified time frames and retain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.
• Must acquire Tanning Certification within the required time frame.
