Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to become an integral part of our team! Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply. As a member of our staff, you will be dedicated to delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a remarkable “Judgement Free” experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

  • Warmly greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a variety of inquiries.
  • Check in members, conduct facility tours, sign up new members, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate beverage and merchandise transactions through the point of sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby through diligent effort.
  • Perform regular facility upkeep, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
  • Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are regularly cleaned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking in restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues, exceeding member expectations.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • An upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor is essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within the timeframe specified by the company and possess the physical capability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:
