Role Summary
The Team Member plays a pivotal role in cultivating a positive experience for our members by delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Manage all front desk operations, including:
- Responding to phone inquiries in a friendly manner and assisting callers with various questions.
- Checking members into the system.
- Facilitating new member sign-ups.
- Conducting tours for prospective members.
- Updating members’ accounts as necessary.
- Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, and escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager when appropriate.
- Contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the club.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- A genuine passion for fitness and health.
- An upbeat and positive demeanor is essential.
- Punctuality and reliability are critical.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Active listening skills, along with the ability to empathize and solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions, utilizing appropriate behavior and language.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
