Job description:

We seek to immediately fill part-time Barista positions at our Novi location, situated at 25345 Taft Road, Novi, MI 48374. Please note that we only accept online applications for this role.

The part-time schedule will run from Monday through Friday, with varying hours, and there are no weekend, night, or holiday shifts. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. Previous experience in cashier roles, food service, or as a barista is preferred.

Job Summary
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and maintaining exemplary quality in food service operations. Successful candidates will interact with customers and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering according to standard measures and recipes.
  • Accurately enter customer orders into the POS system and handle cash and card transactions.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while ensuring the service area remains clean.
  • Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Ensure sanitation and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Utilize approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during service.
  • Clean the workspace thoroughly before transitioning to other assignments.
  • Greet customers warmly, address their needs, and escalate any relevant issues to supervisors.
  • Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in service.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items, conveying this information accurately to customers.
  • Utilize effective selling techniques to enhance customer interactions and assist in their decision-making.
  • Ensure display foods are presented attractively as per established standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
