Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the quality, quantity, and timely production of meals for the day. The individual will prepare food in accordance with Parkhurst recipes, standards, and procedures while adhering to strict sanitary conditions.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare food following Parkhurst recipes and implement the “batch” cooking method.
  • Ensure consistent quality and quantity of food throughout the service period, utilizing production sheets.
  • Maintain proper line presentation by using appropriate pans, garnishing dishes, and employing the correct utensils as indicated by recipe specifications, while ensuring all food products are held at the appropriate serving temperatures.
  • Foster open communication with team members, such as line servers, to relay specific information regarding daily food items.
  • Complete daily production sheets accurately.
  • Properly store and date all food items.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines when utilizing leftovers.
  • Follow the provided cleaning schedule and implement “clean as you go” practices.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding necessary products and supplies.
  • Adhere to the uniform dress code and uphold personal hygiene standards.
  • Uphold all Parkhurst Gold Standards and implement Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
  • Assist colleagues whenever possible.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
