Job Summary
This position is responsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of daily meal production. The incumbent will prepare food in accordance with Parkhurst’s recipes, standards, and procedures, adhering to strict sanitary conditions.
Essential Functions
- Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce batch cooking methodologies.
- Ensure food quality and maintain quantity throughout the service period, utilizing production sheets.
- Ensure proper line presentation, including the use of appropriate pans, garnishing, adherence to recipe specifications for utensils, and maintaining proper food serving temperatures as specified by recipes or management.
- Maintain open lines of communication with team members, such as line servers, regarding food items on a daily basis.
- Complete daily production sheets.
- Ensure all food items are properly stored and dated.
- Follow HACCP guidelines in utilizing leftovers.
- Adhere to the provided cleaning schedule and implement “clean as you go” techniques.
- Communicate with management regarding product and supply needs.
- Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Adhere to all Parkhurst Gold Standards and implement Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
- Provide assistance to fellow team members whenever possible.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
