Food for Thought is actively seeking to expand our passionate team dedicated to our Made in Michigan specialty small-batch food products and our commitment to supporting local food systems. We currently have a full-time opening for an enthusiastic and hardworking Food Production Cook. This position operates within a food manufacturing production environment, where key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and assembling food products in adherence to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Safely operating production equipment while maintaining proper handling procedures.
  • Complying with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Accurately recording production details and maintaining inventory logs.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet daily production targets.
  • Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and work environment.
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients, skillfully managing both small-batch and large-volume cooking.
  • Testing products to verify compliance with legal, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Organizing and monitoring ingredient storage and supplies.
  • Assisting with various production workflows as required.
