This position involves supervising daily kitchen and cafeteria operations, which include ordering, inventory management, meal preparation, food storage, handling and transportation, meal service, and record-keeping. The role also includes overseeing the Patient’s Cafeteria staff to ensure compliance with established guidelines, methods, policies, and procedures. Proper sanitation, temperature control, lighting, moisture management, ventilation, and security are essential when preparing food and nutrition products. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Required Education and Experience:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in overseeing large-scale cooking and food preparation tasks (excluding experience in taverns, lounges, and fast food establishments) is required, including at least two years in a Cook 7 capacity.
Alternate Education and Experience:
- An associate’s degree in dietetics, food services management, hotel or restaurant management, or human nutrition, combined with three years of relevant experience, including one year equivalent to a Cook 7, may be considered as meeting education and experience requirements.
- Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields may substitute for the experience requirements.
