Job description:

We are currently seeking to fill full-time and part-time Grill Cook positions immediately. The work location is at Abercrombie & Fitch Global Home Office, situated at 6301 Fitch Path, New Albany, OH 43054. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Schedules for available positions range from full-time to part-time, with shifts running Monday through Thursday, including rotating hours in the morning and evening, as well as rotating Saturdays. More specific details regarding scheduling will be provided during the interview process.

While previous experience as a line cook, including sauté and grill cooking in a professional kitchen, is preferred, it is not mandatory.

The compensation for this position ranges from $15.50 to $17.50 per hour. Additionally, an internal employee referral bonus is available.

As a Grill Cook, your primary responsibilities will include preparing food and serving customers at the grill station while adhering to federal, state, and corporate standards to ensure a high-quality dining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time, while efficiently serving customers at multiple stations.
  • Deliver service in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring that food is presented attractively and at the correct temperature. Taste all prepared food items for quality.
  • Follow established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintain records from your assigned area.
  • Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and portion control.
  • Adhere to safety standards while transporting pans, kettles, and trays to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators.
  • Store food following industry best practices for wrapping, dating, and safety.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
  • Address customer concerns and communicate relevant information to supervisors when necessary.
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings regularly.
  • Foster good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
