Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Prepare and plate food items according to North High Brewing’s recipes and standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections of all food items entering and leaving the kitchen.
  • Identify and prepare all menu items proficiently.
  • Exhibit familiarity with weighing and measuring ingredients accurately.
  • Employ various cooking methods, including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling, as needed.
  • Set up, break down, and maintain cleanliness of all workstations and kitchen areas.
  • Inspect the work environment to ensure all equipment is operational and sanitary.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal health and sanitation regulations.
  • Cover, date, and label all stored food in compliance with health code rules.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment effectively and demonstrate knowledge of cleaning procedures.
  • Collaborate in completing all daily tasks.
  • Wear the designated uniform at all times while on duty.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage in food preparation, cooking, and expediting, including both a la carte and banquet service.
  • Communicate any food shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Uphold professional standards within the workplace.
  • Interact with co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, emergency, and sanitation policies, and report any violations to supervisory staff.
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks as directed by management.
  • Organize deliveries according to food hierarchy and FIFO principles.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, or Lead Line Cook.
