Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Prepare and plate food items according to North High Brewing’s recipes and standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of all food items entering and leaving the kitchen.
- Identify and prepare all menu items proficiently.
- Exhibit familiarity with weighing and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Employ various cooking methods, including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling, as needed.
- Set up, break down, and maintain cleanliness of all workstations and kitchen areas.
- Inspect the work environment to ensure all equipment is operational and sanitary.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal health and sanitation regulations.
- Cover, date, and label all stored food in compliance with health code rules.
- Utilize kitchen equipment effectively and demonstrate knowledge of cleaning procedures.
- Collaborate in completing all daily tasks.
- Wear the designated uniform at all times while on duty.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage in food preparation, cooking, and expediting, including both a la carte and banquet service.
- Communicate any food shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- Uphold professional standards within the workplace.
- Interact with co-workers in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, emergency, and sanitation policies, and report any violations to supervisory staff.
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks as directed by management.
- Organize deliveries according to food hierarchy and FIFO principles.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, or Lead Line Cook.
